Mastering Sin
Here is today's communion meditation.
Over the last couple of years, we've talked about the pipeline of living water God put within us that contains God's spirit, wisdom, power, mind, grace, peace, joy, patience, love, health, energy, finances, and much more.
Think about this for a moment... You don't have to use your wisdom, instead you can use God's.
You don't have to rely on your level of peace, joy, energy, or patience. You can use God's.
And His supply is unlimited and inexhaustible.
While I was thinking about this the other day, I felt like God said to me, "I have also given you my mastery."
In Genesis 4 is the story of Cain and Abel. God did not look with favor on Cain's sacrifice like he did on Abel's, so Cain became angry.
And God said to him in Genesis 4:6-7, "Why are you angry,β said the LORD to Cain, βand why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you refuse to do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires you, but you must master it.
God told Cain that he needed to master sin, and we have that same ability. But we aren't going to master sin our own, we are going to use God's mastery to overcome.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that we have God's mastery, and we are asking him to help us put his mastery to work so that we master sin.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
In the areas of health, nutrition, and fitness God has given you his mastery... Put it to work!
I am praying for you.
