Peace That Surpasses All Understanding
Here is today's communion meditation.
Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
We are in a time of year when God often initiates transfers and transitions to move us to the next level. During the transitions God has given us His peace to help guide our decision making. We don't have to rely on our own peace, we can use God's. And his peace surpasses our understanding, and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
I think of His peace kind of like a bouncer sitting outside our hearts and minds. The bouncer keeps thoughts and beliefs out that aren't supposed to be in there. Peace will also go in and clean anything out that snuck its way in.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that we have God's peace.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
One of the goals of a workout is to develop our ability to stay totally at peace and tranquil on the inside while doing a higher level of work. In the same way, one of our goals in life is to exercise our faith at higher and higher levels and be totally at peace in challenging situations.
Faith and peace are kind of like a 1-2 punch. They usually come together. Whenever we are truly in faith we usually also have His peace.
I am praying for you.
