Give Yourself Grace

Today I wanted to do something a little bit different and combine our Yearly Cycle Update with the communion meditation.
It seems like every year during this time of the year that God reminds me of the importance of giving ourselves grace.
Romans 3:23-24 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
God has justified us freely by his grace, but we often forget to give this same grace to ourselves.
We are often our own worst critic and put too much pressure on ourselves, and this limits God's grace from flowing through us out into the world.
When we put too much pressure on ourselves it's like a kink in a garden hose that blocks the flow of God's grace through us.
So as your prepare for Christmas and take some time to reflect on the year make sure to remember to be gracious to yourself.
In today's communion let the breaking the bread be symbolic of breaking free from any old patterns of putting too much pressure on yourself and let the taking of the cup be an activation that from this point on we are going to continually improve in giving ourselves grace.
Let's go forward from this time of communion transformed.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
One of the best ways to practice giving yourself grace is in health and fitness. It's easy to put too much pressure on yourself. Take that pressure off today.
I am praying for you.

P.S. Remember the Master is with you, he loves you, and nothing is impossible for him.
