Don't Carry the Load

Good morning!

Lately God's been teaching me about the importance of taking a day of rest each week. God's given us the gift of rest, so that we can get refreshed. 

Jeremiah 17:21 says, "This is what the LORD says: Be careful not to carry a load on the Sabbath day or bring it through the gates of Jerusalem."

As we rest each week, I think it's good to examine ourselves to see if we are carrying a load we shouldn't be carrying. If there some issue or problem that we are carrying the weight of, rather than giving it to the Lord, then we can have a weekly reminder to turn those things over to him. 

In today's communion we are asking God to help us identify any load or burden we are carrying that we shouldn't be, and to turn it over to him. 

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

Something I am learning lately is that when we rest and refresh our bodies it also has an impact on our bodies responsiveness to nutrition and training. Without rest our body grows dull and unresponsive, but when we rest and refresh our ability to process food and information improves and the body responds better.
