From Strength to Strength

Good morning!

The other day we said that Passover is a reminder to be living by faith and that we are to go from faith to faith meaning that our faith is growing. 

And yesterday we looked at 2 Corinthians 3:18 which says, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Psalm 84:7 says about the people who make God their strength that, " They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion."

From faith to faith...

From glory to glory...

From strength to strength

These all imply growth, progression, and new levels. 

In today's communion we are asking God to help us go from strength to strength the way he desires. 

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

This year I've started doing my workouts in 6-week blocks. I have a set program for 6 weeks, then take the 7th week off to rest and evaluate the progress that was made, and then make adjustments for the next 6-week block. Something I noticed is that whenever I started a 6-week block with a weight that was already heavy my progress wasn't as good as when I started lighter and built up over the 6 weeks. It's counterintuitive but we grow from strength to strength much faster when we are humble and start with lighter weights and build up from there.
