Purified From Dead Works
Good morning!
Today is Fellowship Friday - The Love Accelerator
(You can learn more about the 7 Accelerators here)
1 John 1:7 says, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."
To walk in the light is also to walk in love, and the indicator is that we have fellowship with one another.
The shortcut to walking in the light is gratitude.
If there are any strained relationships, how could you take steps toward restored fellowship today?
And make it a priority to fellowship with people today.
Here is today's communion meditation.

Today is Day 9 of the 10 Days of Awe, which is a reminder to take action on all the little nudges we get in our conscience.
The goal is to have a clear conscience, so we are clear to hear.
In Hebrews 9:9 it tells us that the gifts and sacrifices offered in the Old Testament were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper.
And Hebrews 9:14 says, "How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God."
The Day of Atonement starts this evening and goes from around 6pm this evening until around 6pm tomorrow.
Atonement is a reminder that Jesus is our High Priest, and his blood has purified our conscience from dead works.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us receive and activate this promise of having our conscience purified from dead works so that we can serve the living God.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
In the Jewish culture from around 6pm tonight until 6pm tomorrow is a total fast with no food or water, and they break the fast with bagels. The fast is not something everyone does, but if you feel led to do the fast, make sure to ask God for his grace to make the fast easy for you.
Bagels are a circle, and the Day of Atonement is like the closing of the circle of the year. Things have come full circle, and next we move onto the Feast of Tabernacles in a few days.

I am praying for you.
