Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Our message for March is, "Resetting Our Understanding," and about how the Holy Spirit helps us understand all that God has given us in Christ.
1 Timothy 1:16 says, " But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life."
In his grace, God gives us his unlimited patience, and he wants to display that patience through us as we are patient with ourselves and others.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the unlimited patience God has given us. And we are asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand this unlimited patience and for it to flow through you us.

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update communion meditation.
Today is the Feast of Purim. I think of Purim as the turning point of the year, and a reminder of how quickly God can turn things around.
Purim comes from the book of Esther, when a law was written that would wipe out the Jewish people. In those days, once a law was written it could not be undone. After a time of fasting Queen Esther petitioned the king to write a new law that would override the previous law. An interesting part of this story is that the king told Esther to write whatever she wanted. Jesus told us something very similar in John 15:7 when he said that if we abide in him, we can ask for whatever we want.
The new law turned the tables and gave the Jewish people the upper hand and mastery over their enemies.
Purim is the table-turner day. When the tables are turned it doesn't mean everything changes in that moment, but the...

Colossians 2:2-3 says, "My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
In Christ we've been given all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
1 Corinthians 1:30 says, "It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that we've been given all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And we are asking the Holy Spirit to help us have the full riches of complete understanding.

Our message for March is, "Resetting Our Understanding," and about how the Holy Spirit helps us understand all that God has given us in Christ.
So far we've talked about how we've been given the righteousness of Jesus and his peace and joy.
Romans 14:17-18 says, "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval."
We have often talked about how it's important to do the right things and to do them with the right attitude... With peace and joy.
When we do the right things the right way it's pleasing to God and approved by people.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the righteousness, peace, and joy we've been given. And we are asking the Holy Spirit to help us walk in the fullness of all of these together so that it is pleasing...

In John 15;11 Jesus said, "I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."
We've been given the joy of the Lord, and it helps to make our joy complete.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that we've been given the joy of the Lord. And we are asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand the joy the we've been given and to walk in the fullness of it.

In John 14:26-27 Jesus said, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you. Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid."
He has given us his peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that we've been given the peace of Jesus. And we are asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand what we've been given and to walk in the fullness of His peace.

Romans 5:5 says, " And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us."
God has abundantly poured His love into our hearts. And the word used for love in this verse is, "agape." which is the highest form of unconditional love.
We have access to God's love.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God's agape love has been poured into our hearts. And we are asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand what this means for us and to walk in the fullness of his love.

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update communion meditation.
The Feast of Purim is coming up. It starts the evening of March 23rd and goes through March 24th.
Purim comes from the book of Esther. A king and adviser had written a law that would wipe out the Jewish people. In those days, once a law was written it could not be undone. Queen Esther petitioned the king and asked him to write a new law that would override the previous law. The Bible tells us that the new law turned the tables and gave the Jewish people the upper hand with the right to attack anyone who was attacking them.
Purim is the table-turner day. In the Abundant Life Blueprint, we say that the table-turner is the one thing that really matters, and it puts us in control in life. When Jesus went into the temple, he turned over the tables. Jesus is the table-turner. The Old Covenant used to be in place—and it was eye-for-eye...

Our message for March is, "Resetting Our Understanding," and about how the Holy Spirit helps us understand all that God has given us in Christ.
One of the most important gifts we have been given is the righteousness of Jesus.
In Philippians 3:9 the apostle Paul says, "Not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith."
Having the righteousness of Jesus means that we are right with God because of the works of Jesus and not our own, which enables God to be on our side all the time, because the righteousness of Jesus never changes.
Isaiah 32:17 says, "the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever."

This verse comes from 1 Corinthians chapter 2, and in that chapter, it also says in verses 11 & 16...
"For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God."
"Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."
The Spirit of God knows his thoughts, and we have been given His Spirit.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude, and we are asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand that we have the mind of Christ.
