Good morning!
Today's communion meditation is for the month of March.
This year our message/theme for the year is, "The Great Reset."
And our message for March is "Resetting Our Understanding."
2 Corinthians 2:12 says, "What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us."
One of the jobs of the Holy Spirit is to help us understand all that God has given us.
Proverbs 19:8 says, "the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper."
In today's communion we are asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand all that God has freely given us.
I am praying for you.

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately I've been thinking about the gift God has given us in the Holy Spirit, and how he's been sent to help us.
Romans 8:26-27 says, "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God."
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the gift of the Holy Spirit. And we are asking the Holy Spirit to intercede and help us pray the things that need to be prayed so that we can align our lives with God's will.

Lately I've been thinking about the gift God has given us in the Holy Spirit, and how we must learn to follow His leading and rely on his guidance.
John 16:13 says, " When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us follow the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Just like we are supposed to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit our breathing should lead our movement while exercising. Inhale as you recover and gently start to exhale before you initiate the movement.
I am praying for you.

Last week I felt God was prompting me to take a week off of the communion meditations. It was a good opportunity to rest, reflect, and remember.
I feel like one of the things God had me do last week was take some time to remember was He has spoken to me.
In John 14:26 Jesus said, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."
One of the gifts of having the Holy Spirit with us, is that he can help us remember everything Jesus has said to us. If we are walking with God, there will be some things that he speaks to us. This could be steps to take, promises to stand on, or scriptures that He illuminates to us.
And it's important to keep remembering what He's said to us.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the Holy Spirit. And we are asking the Holy Spirit to continue to teach us...
Good morning!
Today we are back to our communion meditations.
While taking a week off of the communion meditations and from my normal workouts, one of the things I was thinking about is any burden I've been carrying that needs to be given to the Lord.
1 Peter 5:7 say, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
And Psalm 55:22 says, "Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken."
Many people talk about giving things over to God, but my experience has been that very few people actually do it.
It's more common for us to carry the load of our worries rather than to give them over to God.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us cast our anxieties, burdens, and cares onto him so that he can sustain us.

Many people try to carry the load when it comes to nutrition, exercise, etc but this also needs to be cast over to the Lord.

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
This year we've talked a lot about rest, and the gift God has given us in the Sabbath.
While thinking about this I came across Exodus 33;14 where the Lord says, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
Notice the connection between presence and rest.
Something I feel God has had me doing this year is thinking in terms of 6 week blocks of time. Push for 6 weeks, with a day of rest each week, then in the 7th week back off and take some time to reflect and make adjustments for the next 6 weeks.
In fact, I am going to be implementing this into our communion meditations. This is the final day of my first 6-week block of the year, and I feel like God is saying to take a pause on the communion meditations for a week, so that's what I am going to do.
Today's communion is time of gratitude that His presence provides rest. And we are asking him to help us implement this 6 week rhythm...

This weekly our Yearly Cycle Message is, "Sequencing Matters."
Doing things in the proper order or sequence makes things so much simpler and easier.
In Mattew 23 Jesus is talking with the religious leaders who are very concerned about following all the external rules about keeping everything clean.
And Jesus says, "First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean."
The order or sequence is important.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that through the body and blood of Jesus we can be clean on the inside so that the things we do can also be clean.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
In health, we often get very focused on nutrition and exercise, but I think the internal world of emotions is more important.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Recently we've talked about the Hebrew the word "yakol," which means... to overcome, prevail, be victorious, or well able.
"Yakol," is used when Jacob overcomes while wrestling with God. And it's used when Caleb says that the people are well able to overcome the giants in the promised land.
Yakol is also a name for God that's used in Daniel 3:17 when the boys were going to be thrown into the fiery furnace. In this story they refer to God as Elohim Yakol, which means the God who is able.
Daniel 3;17 says, "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the (Elohim Yakol)God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for Elohim Yakol.

Yesterday we talked about Genesis 32:28 which says, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”
In Hebrew the word for "overcome," is "yakol," which means... to overcome, prevail, be victorious, or well able.
This word "yakol," also appears twice in Numbers 13:30 when the spies came back from the promised land with a bad report, but Caleb stands up and say, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it."
In the phrase, "we are well able to overcome it," the word yakol is used twice in the Hebrew language.
It reads, "yakol yakol."
Caleb was emphatic that they were able to overcome because he trusted that God was with them.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us be confident that we are well able to overcome anything standing in the way of what he has for us...

Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately, we've talked about overcoming.
We talked about how darkness has not overcome light and how Jesus said to be of good cheer when we face problems, because he has overcome the world.
We also talked about how our faith can help us overcome the world, and that the God who is in you is greater than the world.
While thinking about these things I came across the story of Jacob wrestling with God.
In Genesis 32:28, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”
In Hebrew the word for "overcome," is "yakol," which means... to overcome, prevail, be victorious, or well able.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us overcome in our struggles.
