Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day we talked about how Jesus is among us as one who serves.
In Matthew 20:28 Jesus said, "just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
As I was reading this the other day, the phrase, "a ransom for many," really got me thinking.
A ransom is a price paid to set someone free. One of the definitions of a ransom is, "a liberty price."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how Jesus ransomed us and set us free, and to walk in this freedom.

Sometimes areas of our body get bound up or tight. One of the best ways to set these areas free is with what I call "Touchpoints." Give the area a very gentle touch and then repeat whatever movement or stretch was causing discomfort.
I am praying for you.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately Matthew 11:28-30 keeps coming to mind. where Jesus said,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
We often get so caught up with all of the things we have to do that we forget to rest in our soul.
In today's communion let's let the breaking of the bread be symbolic of breaking any patterns we have of worry, stress, fretting, toiling, etc.
And as we take the juice let it be an activation of finding a greater level of rest in our souls.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Taking a few minutes to stretch before bed can do a lot for you. It will help you rest better.
I am praying for you.

Hey everyone!
Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.
When I played baseball in college, the best year of my college career came when I was stretching regularly, and I would often have someone who was stretching me. The person stretching me would often tell me to "relax," and "to let them have it," but I had a hard time relaxing the muscles when someone else was trying to stretch me. I had to learn how to relax into the stretch and allow the person stretching me to do the work.
We are in a season of the year where God likes to pivot, change directions, and reposition things—including people. If you are experiencing a shift or feeling a nudge that God wants you to make a shift, this feeling is probably from him. These shifts take place because God always wants to have people functioning in their highest capabilities. He will often shift things to bring out the best in us.
It is during this time that the repositioning will...

Here is today's communion meditation.
Yesterday we talked about how in Deuteronomy 30:19-20 God told the people to choose life or death, blessing or cursing.
God always gives us free choice. We get to choose whether we will walk in darkness or the light, walk in God's ways or the world's ways, and he wants us to choose light.
And one of the ways he choose life is with our words.
Proverbs 18:20-21 says, 'From the fruit of his mouth a man’s belly is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. 21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us choose life with all of our words.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Try starting your day with a memorial portion for your fitness. This can be a few pushups or squats or something very easy as a way to get your day started.

Hey Everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Here is today's communion meditation.
In Deuteronomy 30:19-20 God told the people, "I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, so that you and your descendants may live, 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, obey Him, and hold fast to Him. For He is your life, and He will prolong your life in the land that the LORD swore to give to your fathers."
God always gives us free choice. We get to choose whether we will walk in darkness or the light, walk in God's ways or the world's ways, and he wants us to choose light.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving today, let it be a reminder that one of the best shortcuts to walking in the light is gratitude, because it helps us magnify the right things.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God gives us free choice, and we are asking Him to help us choose what he says is the...
Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
A phrase that's repeated all throughout the Bible is "the righteous will live by faith."
We are righteous in Christ. Jesus became sin so that we could become righteous.
Lately I've been thinking about how living by faith means to be resting.
When we are in faith we are confident in God's promises and we can rest.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand that we are righteous in Christ and to help us live by faith at higher levels.

Psalm 45:4 says,' Your instructions are glow-in-the-dark;"
Sometimes we walk through dark times, but even in those times God's instructions can guide us because they are glow in the dark.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us rely on his instructions.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
In Luke 2;27 Jesus said, " For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves."
The other day I was thinking about why God created people, and I think one of the reasons is that he needed someone to serve. God is love, and love gives and serves.
In Genesis 15:1 God told Abraham, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward."
In Hebrew the word for "great reward," is "sakar," which can mean in your service.
God told Abraham, "I am in your service," or "I am here to serve and help you."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand that he is among us as one who serves and to trust that he is with us so that we can be like him and also serve.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
In Matthew 10:16 Jesus said, “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves."
How do we be as shrewd as snakes?
In Psalm 18:25-26 it says about God, "To the faithful You show Yourself faithful, to the blameless You show Yourself blameless; 26to the pure You show Yourself pure, but to the crooked You show Yourself shrewd."
God is shrewd when he is dealing with those who are crooked and devious.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how to be as shrewd as snakes the way he does.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
One of the themes in the Bible is that confessing our sins leads to many good things. We all have times when we fall short and when we are willing to courageously humble ourselves it leads to walking in the light where all of the good things are.
1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
James 5:16 says, "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed."
Proverbs 28:13 says, "Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the power of confessing our sins and to have to humility and courage to consistently walk in this.
