Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day I was reading in John 8 where Jesus says that the native language of the Devil is lies, and I began to think about the reciprocal of this which would be that the native language of God is truth. The Bible tells us that all things are possible for God, except one thing... It is impossible for God to lie.
Ephesians also tells us that we will be mature when we learn to speak the truth in love.
In today's communion we are thanking God that his native language is the truth. And we are asking him to help us speak the truth in love consistently.

Flexibility is an important part of fitness. My favorite times to stretch are after workouts and before bed. There is something about stretching before bed that helps our bodies feel so much better in the morning.
I am praying for you.

Recently I was having a conversation with a friend about how some leaders have exceptionally high standards for excellence, but sometimes these high standards can come with a lot of pressure on themselves and others. Having high standards for excellence is a good thing but they must be balanced with a lot of grace to take the pressure off.
God is the perfect example of this. He has a standard that none of us can keep, and he won't change it for anyone, but he is also gentle, patient, and full of grace and truth.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us become more like him in setting higher standards for our lives and balancing it with a lot of grace so that the pressure is off.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Standards are important for our health and fitness. To reach new levels me must set higher standards while also giving ourselves grace.
I am praying for you.

Something I observed while working in gyms for years is that very strong people very rarely test their strength to see what they can do. They usually leave some margin, while people who weren't as strong were always testing their limits.
Proverbs 21:20 says, "There is desirable treasure and olive oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish person devours all he has."
The concept of leaving some margin and not using all of the available resources seems to be applicable into just about every area of life.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the importance of margins and to apply what he teaches us consistently.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Start practicing leaving some margin in your workouts. Don't devour all of your available strength, energy, etc.
I am praying for you.

Psalm 8:5 says God made Jesus a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. Lately I have been thinking about what it means to be crowned with glory and the significance of this for us.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the importance of why Jesus was crowned with glory and what it means for us.

Acts 17:28 says, "In him we live and move and have our being." In our workouts let's practice this.

One of the concepts in our Order Blueprint, is called Rhythm Structures. Rhythm can be used to help us create more structure and order in our lives. The Old Testament temple had a rhythm of things that were to be done on the yearly cycle of feasts, monthly, on the weekly sabbath, and daily. And our bodies are God's temple now.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us implement rhythm structures into our life and our program the Abundant Life Blueprint the way he intended.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Rhythm is a very important part of health. Take a few moments today to evaluate your rhythms in the area of health.
I am praying for you.

Happy New Year!
In 2022 our message was the Year of the Beautiful Land. Here are a couple of the main learning lessons from 2022.
Happy New Year!
Here is today's communion meditation.
With 2022 ending and the new year starting today I was reminded of a section from my book "The 8th Date," that talks about endings and new beginnings. When we truly understand God's grace it brings us to the end of ourselves, because we learn to rely on and trust in God. But what seems like the end is actually a new beginning.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the reminder of the new beginning God's grace provides. And we are asking God to bless this new year.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
A new year is also a reminder of a fresh start in our health and fitness and a reminder to rely on God doing the work in our workouts.
I am praying for you.

This time of year, between Christmas and New Year's always reminds me of Isaiah 61, which is the passage that Jesus reads from the scroll when he starts his ministry. Part of that passage is that we would be a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how to display his splendor and to walk in this consistently.
Here is the passage from Isaiah 61:1-3:
1The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and...
Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.
A few years ago, I learned that the 12 Days of Christmas officially start on Christmas Day, which makes New Year's Day the 8th day of Christmas. This means that if Jesus was born on December 25th that New Year's Day would have been the day when he was circumcised and given his name.
Circumcision is a reminder of our covenant and partnership with God. He has given us purpose and grace in Christ Jesus before time ever began. I believe God has written a book about each of our lives and tomorrow is the day to name the Year of 2023. What did God name the title of the chapter in your book for 2023. This is a good time to press in and seek him for this.
For me personally and for the Abundant Life Blueprint the name that has come through for 2023 is God Saved the Best Until Now.
Here is our filter for this week... A New Year, A New Name
I am praying for you.
Happy New Year!

One of the most important lessons I have ever learned, and also one of the most challenging, is to give ourselves grace. We often put too much pressure on ourselves, beat ourselves up, and condemn ourselves. And when we do this, it seems to block the flow of God's grace through us.
Symptoms of this are heaviness, pressure, and a lack of peace/joy/love/energy, etc.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us consistently give ourselves grace by taking the pressure off of ourselves and rolling it over to him.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
An important area to give ourselves grace is in our health and fitness. We tend to put too much pressure on ourselves to get results. Take the pressure off and enjoy moving.
I am praying for you.
