Godly Sorrow

Uncategorized Jan 12, 2022

Listen to the Audio

Here is today's communion meditation.

Emotions are a true gift from God, in that they give us feedback so that we can make adjustments. We often view negative emotions such as sorrow as a bad thing, but there is a Godly sorrow that leads to true change and us living a life with no regrets.

2 Corinthians 7:5-13 says...

5 For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn—conflicts on the outside, fears within. 6 But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, 7 and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.

8 Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it—I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while— 9 yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance.

For you b...

Psalm 91 Communion Meditation

Listen to the Audio

Today we are taking communion over Psalm 91, which has some amazing promises for those that make God their secret place.

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.

4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and [b]buckler.

5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day.

6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.

8 Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your...

Righteousness, Peace, & Joy

Here is today's communion meditation...

Recently, I have been seeking God about how we can truly cherish other people. And I think so much of it comes back to how we make others feel. In all relationships one of the most important things is how we make them feel. Do we make them feel honored, valued, appreciated, cherished, etc.

To make others feel cherished is in the realm of feelings, and feelings are contagious. Therefore, to make others feel good we must feel good.

As I was thinking about this Romans 14:7 came to mind...

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God has transferred us into his kingdom and there is righteousness, peace, and joy. And we are asking for his help for this righteousness, peace and joy to flow through us to others helping us make them feel cherished.

John 10 Communion Meditation

Uncategorized Jan 09, 2022

Listen to the Audio

Today we are taking communion over John 10:1-18 as a time of gratitude that Jesus is our good shepherd, and he came to give us life abundantly.

Here is the passage...

“Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” 6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.

7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves a...

A Matter of the Heart

Uncategorized Jan 08, 2022

Listen to the Audio

Here is today's communion meditation.

How do we practically cherish other people? I think it is a matter of the heart that starts with us understanding that God cherishes us and has intentions to make us great. God has made the covenant commitment to cherish us and continually do good for us all the time, even when we miss it. For us to cherish others I believe it takes a heart commitment, to doing good all the time. It means moving past retaliating, avoiding people, and giving the silent treatment and choosing to do good all the time. But to get to this place takes a firm decision and we must get it established in our hearts. And the way to establish this New Covenant in our hearts is with meditation and consistent practice. Keep meditating and thinking on God's grace and how he cherishes you, and eventually it will be a natural outflow from you to others.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God cherishes us, and we are asking for his help to cherish...

Fresh Ears

Uncategorized Jan 07, 2022

Listen to the Audio

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle Update.

The other day I was scribing a passage of scripture from Leviticus about the Firstfruits offerings that the people were to bring. And God told the people their offerings needed to be fresh ears of grain. The phrase "Fresh Ears," kept coming back to me.

We have been talking lately about understanding God's grace and cherishing others. First, we must develop the understanding that God cherishes us, meaning that he never stops doing good for us, even when we don't deserve it. Then we must make this the new standard in our lives and walk in this with other people... We must cherish others. This means no more retaliating, withdrawing our presence, avoiding people, or giving them the silent treatment.  It means being solely focused on being a blessing whether people deserve it or not.

This standard becomes what we use to navigate our lives with, especially when faced with obstacles and challenges. There have been studies done ...

Order Matters

Uncategorized Jan 07, 2022

Listen to the Audio

Here is today's communion meditation.

The order or sequencing that we use in life makes a big difference. Imagine you are trying to open a door with a digital door code...

You could have all the right numbers but enter them in the wrong order and the door will remain locked.

The example, I like to use with my kids all the time is getting dressed. It's much harder to get dressed if you put your shoes on first or you put your underwear over your pants.

We can often have all the right pieces but be trying to do them in the wrong sequence and it leads to a lot of frustration and wasted time. When there is a lack of proper sequencing and order grace isn't flowing... Order unlocks potential and grace.

When things are in the proper sequence it saves time and space, and everything is so much easier.

One of the most important things to have in the right sequence is our priorities. Our priorities determine much of the little decisions we make every day, but our pri...

The One Who Cherishes Understanding Will Soon Prosper

Uncategorized Jan 06, 2022

Listen to the Audio

Here is today's communion meditation.

In scripture the words "Cherish," and "Understanding," are often linked together. A few years ago, God really brought Proverbs 19:8 to life for me which says...

The one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.

God had shown me through Proverbs 4:7 that I needed to develop understanding, even if it cost me everything. And I went through 2-3 years of major struggle before I finally understood. What I needed to understand was grace. In His grace God is continually working for our good and he cherishes us as the apple of his eye. We often think God is mad at us and withholding things from us, but he never stops working for our good.

To cherish is a whole new level of love. To cherish means we go on the offensive and are continually looking for ways to be a blessing, even if people don't deserve it.

It's one thing to forgive and let things go, but it's a whole new level to be continually thinking about ways to bless ot...

Health to the Whole Body

Uncategorized Jan 05, 2022

Listen to the Audio

Here is today's communion meditation.

The way God designed our bodies to function is that health is supposed to flow from the inside out, from our spirit, through our mind and emotions, and into our physical bodies. A big part of this process is storing up God's word in our heart by having it in coming into our ears and eyes consistently.

Proverbs 4:20-23 NIV says...

My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.

21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;

22 for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.

23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God's word is life and health to our whole body.

Today's Health/Workout Tip

Jesus said that the little children have the secrets, and little children move really well. They jump, run, throw and move in all sorts of directions. If we stop doing these things as we get old...

Healthy and Beautiful

Listen to the Audio

Here is today's communion meditation.

Today I am going to talk about a few things that I have never shared before, because I was waiting for the right time. When I first got started in my walk with God he began to give me my assignment. After learning a little about the importance of communion I was in my kitchen one morning taking communion and heard on the inside, " Daniel, make my body healthy."

Shortly after this I also heard, " Daniel, make my body beautiful."

When I first heard these things, I had no idea how to do any of this, but over the past 10 years God has taught me so much about both health and beauty. These two things go together, and God wants to be the source of them.

So how are we going to do this... Daily communion paired with a Daily Workout.

I don't think it was a coincidence that God was speaking about health while taking communion. Health happens from the inside out and taking communion every day is probably one of the greatest keys to ...
