Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day we talked about the Call of Abraham and how God told Abraham "Go," which can be translated in Hebrew as go, walk, flow, follow, or continue.
And we get the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the faith of Abraham.
In Matthew 22, Jesus told the parable of the wedding feast. Many people were invited or called to the feast, but most of them didn't accept the call because they were too busy. When it came time for the wedding feast, one of the guys who accepted the call didn't have his wedding clothes on, and he was kicked out. Then Jesus went on to say that many are called, but few are chosen.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for God's call to walk with him and we are asking God to help us walk with him in such a way that we are chosen, and that we would clothe ourselves in the righteousness we have in Christ.

Psalm 149:4 NIV says, "For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.
The word "crowns," can also be translated as beautify, glorify, or honor.
And the word "victory," is the Hebrew word "Yeshua," which is the name of Jesus. Yeshua can be translated as salvation, deliverance, victory, welfare, and prosperity.
So this verse could read... God beautifies the humble with Yeshua (Jesus).
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God delights in us. And we are asking God to beautify is in Christ, as we walk in humility.

Our message for June is, "Walking in God's Best Today.'
So far this month we've talked about how David charged Solomon to walk in God's ways and how Solomon showed his love for God by walking in his ways.
In Genesis 12:1 is the call of Abraham. It says, "The LORD had said to Abram, “Go (halak) from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
In Hebrew the word "Go," is the word "Halak," which is the same word David uses to charge Solomon to walk in God's ways and when Solomon showed his love for God by walking with his ways.
The word "halak," means to go, walk, flow, continue, or follow.
God's call to Abraham was go walk with him continually, or as Jesus said to his disciples... Follow me!
Romans 4:12 says "Abraham is then also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised but who also follow in the footsteps of the faith that our...

1 Kings 3:3 says, Solomon showed his love for the LORD by walking according to the instructions given him by his father David.
Jesus said in John 14:15, "if you love me, you will keep my commandments.
It is walking in God's commandments that shows our love for him.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us walk according to his instructions, the way he desires.

In the summer, light is increasing. This is a time when God often begins to expand the vision and give us a bigger glimpse into his plan. During this time it's important to stay coordinated with His plan. Going for walks with God consistently is a great way to stay coordinated with him.
Here is our filter for this week... Coordinate with God's Plan
I am praying for you.

Our message for June is, "Walking in God's Best Today.'
In 1 Kings 2:3 David gives instructions to his son Solomon, who is about to become king and tells him, And keep the charge of the LORD your God to walk in His ways and to keep His statutes, commandments, ordinances, and decrees, as is written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you turn.
The word for walk in the Hebrew means to "walk, go, continue, or flow." Continually walking or flowing with God leads to prospering. This is very similar to Joshua 1:8 where God told Joshua to keep His word in his mouth and to meditate on it so that he would do according to all that was written, and then he would prosper and have good success.
Meditating and walking seem to be connected, and it is one of my favorite things to do... Go for a walk with God while meditating on a scripture.
In today's communion we are asking...

Hebrews 7:21-22 says, “The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind: ‘You are a priest forever.’” Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.
Think about this... Jesus is our guarantee of a better covenant, that is founded on better promises. A guarantee is an assurance that conditions will be fulfilled.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand what Jesus being the guarantee of a better covenant means for us personally, and to help us apply this understanding to our lives consistently.

Make sure to stretch before bed. Stretching before bed makes your body feel much freer in the morning and improves sleep. If you are having any joint pain or tightness, then stretching before bed should be a priority.

As Joshua was about to lead the people into the promised land God told him in Joshua 1:8...
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Notice the progression in this verse... First we keep God's word in our mouth and meditate on it consistently, then we take action on what we have been meditating on, which will cause us to prosper and be successful.
In the original Hebrew language of this verse the word for prosperous is very interesting. It can be translated as rush, push forward, breakthrough, or prosper. It is the same Hebrew word that is used when Samuel told Saul that the Spirit would "rush," upon him.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us meditate on his word the way he...
Here is today's communion meditation.
One of the themes all throughout the Bible is that God continually gets his people out of troubled situations, and Jesus said that we would have trouble in this world, but to be of good cheer, because he has overcome the world.
Proverbs 11:8 says, "The righteous person is rescued from trouble, and it falls on the wicked instead.
Proverbs 12:13 says, "An evil man is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, but the righteous escapes from trouble."
The word for "trouble," in the Hebrew can mean distress, anguish, tribulation, and affliction.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for God's faithfulness to protect us, love protects. And we are asking God to help us escape any trouble, distress, anguish, tribulation, or affliction we experience.

One of the subtitles in Hebrews 6 is "The Certainty of God's Promise."
Hebrews 6:17 says," So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath."
Then it goes on to say that it's impossible for God to lie, and because of that we can hold fast to his promises, because they are certain.
But, to enter into His promises takes faith and trust in his unchangeable character.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the certainty of God's promise, and we are asking him to help us hold fast to his promises.
