Here is today's communion meditation.
Recently we started the 40 Days of Teshuva( Teshuva = turn or repent), which are the 40 days that lead up to the Day of Atonement. In the Jewish culture the Day of Atonement was considered the holiest day of the year, because it was the one day of the year when the High Priest could enter the holy of holies to make atonement for the sins of the people.
Part of Teshuva is getting things in order and Colossians 2:5 says, " For although I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, and I delight to see your orderly condition and firm faith in Christ."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us be ordered and firm in our faith in Christ.

The order we use in our workouts makes a difference. The order that I have found is best is... Mobility, then strength, and then do the work.

In Revelation 2:5 Jesus said, "Repent and do the things you did at first."
For many of us, when we first believed, there was a level of excitement and energy about our relationship with God, and in all relationships there is a tendency for things to fade. But, we should remember to maintain the excitement and energy we had at first.
In today's communion we are asking God to show us any ways where we are not doing the things we did at first.

In Acts chapter 3 people asked the disciples what they should do after the good news was preached to them. And the disciples said, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, ( Acts 3:19)
In today's communion we area asking God to help us walk in the refreshing he has for us.

This time of year is a reminder that Jesus is our great High Priest.
Hebrews 4:15-16 says "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that we have a great high priest in Jesus.

Lately we have been talking about walking in the fullness of everything God has for us.
John 10:10 says, " The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
Jesus came so that we can have "zoe," life, which is the life of God or said another way, life connected to God, and have it to the full.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us walk in the fullness of the zoe life Jesus came to bring us.

When we increase our mobility it increases the amount of light in our body, so make sure to keep training your ability to move like a little kid.

1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."
This is an amazing promise for us! We are God's special or treasured possession, and he has called us into his wonderful light.
Lately the phrase "his wonderful light," keeps coming up to me. Walking in the light is truly a wonderful place to be.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for this amazing promise, and we are asking God to help us walk in the fullness of this promise.

John 1:16-17 says, "From His fullness we have all received grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.…"
We have fullness in Christ, whenever we are feeling unfulfilled it is because we are out of position because we are out of the fullness. When we are in his fullness we receive grace upon grace, think of it like one wave right behind another.
Jesus was also full of grace and truth. These two things are a pair... grace and truth go together, because they are Jesus.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us stay consistently in the fullness of Christ.

John 21:25 says, " Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written."
This is pretty amazing to think about! How could Jesus do so many things in such a short amount of time? God has ordained or written about every moment of our day, and I think Jesus walked in the fullness of every moment God wrote about him.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us walk in the fullness of every moment he wrote about us.

Make the most of every rep in your workout. If you are doing 8 reps, think of it as one rep 8 times. This causes us to get more present in each rep.

Yesterday we talked about John 4:35 which says, "Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest."
In the next verse John 4:36 it says, "Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together."
One of the themes in the Bible is that when God blesses people can have so much harvest that they will still be harvesting when it's time to sow.
One of the blessings for obedience to God in Leviticus 26:5 is "Your threshing will continue until the grape harvest, and the grape harvest will continue until sowing time; you will have your fill of food to eat and will dwell securely in your land."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how his blessing can cause us to both sow and reap at the same time, and to...

There are a lot of Bible verses about lifting up our eyes. When we lift up our eyes we become more present and aware of all of the amazing opportunities God is bringing our way, but we often miss those opportunities because our eyes are down.
Here are a few verses to meditate on today:
Genesis 13:14, "And God said to Abram after Lot had separated from him, "Now, lift up your eyes and look from the place where you [are] to the north, and to the south, and to the east and to the west."
John 4:35 "Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the importance of lifting up our eyes and to apply this consistently.
