Here is today's communion meditation.
In Numbers 17 is the story where whenever Moses holds his arms up during a battle the Israelites are fighting they are winning. But everytime Moses puts his arms down they start losing the battle. Moses ends up having people help him hold his arms up so that they win the battle.
After the battle it says in Numbers 17:14-16, "Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write an account of this victory, so that it will be remembered. Tell Joshua that I will completely destroy the Amalekites.” 15 Moses built an altar and named it “The Lord is my Banner.” 16 He said, “Hold high the banner of the Lord! The Lord will continue to fight against the Amalekites forever!”
The Lord is my banner is a name of God, and it was used to remember how God helped them win a battle.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand what the Him being our banner means for us and to apply this...

About a year ago we did a communion meditation on binding the strong man, in which we talked about how Samson was bound. Delilah nagged him to the point where he gave in which led to him being bound. I believe God has shown me that we are the strong man/woman now, and that nagging issues can lead to being bound. But if we take the reciprocal of this, then it means that consistent praise and encouragement can loose the strong man/woman and set him/her free.
Praise and encouragement gives us courage and strength, and it needs to be flowing through us consistently. If we will praise God, encourage ourselves in the Lord, and let his encouragement flow through us to others it will strengthen us in the process. As long as it's called TODAY, we are to encourage one another.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how to loose the strength he put within us and to apply this to our lives...

Lately I have come across some situations where it seemed like people were boxing themselves in and putting limits on themselves that didn't need to be there. We can also do the same with God. We can limit him. Psalm 78:41 says the people limited the Holy one of Israel.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us take the limits off of ourselves and him.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
I have seen many people put limits on themselves in the gym. For example, they would walk into the gym and see someone doing an exercise that might have been above their current level and they would say something like, " I could never do that exercise." In their mind they had already boxed themselves in as only being able to do certain things.
I am praying for you.

This month we have talked about how God cancelled the charge of our sin by nailing it to the cross. And now we have a positive charge from God... a charge or commission from Him. Think of this like an electric charge, and in electricity there is both alternating and direct current.
I am not an expert on electricity, but there are pros and cons to each type of electricity. Direct current flows in a direct manner and is better over shorter distances and for charging batteries. Alternating current changes the direction that current is flowing and is better over longer distances. We have electrical current that flows through our bodies, our charge from God, and as his grace flows through us at greater levels I think more electricity is flowing. I beleive the flow of electricity is a combination of both direct and alternating current.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand our charge and how the...

This month our message is... Turn It Around and the Best Will Be Found.
So far, we have talked about the turning part of this message... Turning problems into opportunities, changing the direction things are facing, etc.
Today we are talking about the second portion of the message which is... The Best Will Be Found.
Proverbs 25:2 says, "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings."
God has some amazing things, the best things, hidden for us. They are not hidden from us; he has hidden them for us to discover.
In today's communion we are asking God to help turn things around and find the best of what He has hidden for us.

Imagine you are doing a puzzle, and you have the correct piece in the correct place, but it is turned the wrong way. Simply by turning it around everything fits. This month our message is... Turn it around and the best will be found.
Sometimes just changing the direction something is facing by turning it around, every fits and becomes easier... the best is found. When things are in their proper position God's grace seems to flow, so sometimes changing the direction something is facing can be all it takes to breakthrough to a new level.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand positioning and the impact it has on how we experience his grace in our lives. And we are asking him to help us turn around anything that is facing the wrong direction.

Recently one of our partners brought up the concept of believing vs knowing and the impact it has on our emotions. I view moving from believing to knowing as a progression. For example, we can move from believing in God to knowing God. And Jesus said in John 17:3 that eternal life is to know God and him. Knowing is a place of confidence and rest where all of the doubt and unbelief are removed.
Lately we have talked about the word "charged," and how God cancelled the negative charge of our sin that was against us by nailing it to the cross and now we have a "charge," from God in a calling or commission from him. As we move from believing to knowing it seems to increase our charge and energy. The confidence that comes from knowing has a different energy to it.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the progression of moving from believing to knowing and to help us know him more and...

Something I have learned is that order leads to clarity. The more order we create in our lives the more clarity we have. When things pile up on the inside of us it can block our clarity, and when things are out of order in our environment it can also block clarity. When we start taking action on these things even if it is one small thing it seems to help us gain clarity... And a big thing happens when we become clear, God's grace can flow through us at new levels.
Something I am also learning is that creating more order it is also energizing, it seems to charge us up. I think it's because it allows God's grace to flow at a greater level, which also brings more energy.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the connection between order, energy, clarity, and his grace flowing and to help us apply this understanding to our lives consistently.

The other day was Purim, which is a reminder that in Christ the tables have turned, and God has given us mastery over our enemies. Esther 9:1 says, "On the very day when the enemies of the Jews hoped to gain the mastery over them, the reverse occurred (the tables were turned): the Jews gained mastery over those who hated them."
And Colossians 2:13-15 says, "He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."
The law and our sin used to stand against us or oppose us, but the tables have turned, God is on our side, and we have upper hand.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how in Christ he has turned the tables and to help us walk in this...

Several years ago, I felt God was teaching me about pyramids. In the business world the concept of a pyramid has a bad reputation but if we think about how our body grows and develops it's kind of like a pyramid. We start as one cell, then divide into 2, then 4, then 8, and so on. This is the system that our body and I think also the body of Christ uses to grow.
During that time several years ago when I was thinking about pyramids, while at a church even one of my friends, who didn't know I had been thinking about pyramids, spoke/prophesied that I was going to build a righteous pyramid.
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about pyramids and how they relate to the system he created for our bodies to grow and develop. And we are asking him to help us build a righteous pyramid.
