Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day I was talking with some people about how sports teams try to steal the signals of their opponents. Stealing signals gives your team an advantage because you know what's coming. In fact, one of the people I was talking with said that stealing the enemies signals was one of the keys to winning World War 2.
This reminded me of 2 Kings 6 where the King of Aram is planning attacks or ambushes against Israel, but Elisha keeps finding out and warning the king of Israel. In 2 Kings 6:12 one of the men of Aram told his king, "but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.”
All throughout the Bible one of the themes is that God often steal the signals and plans of the enemy to protect His people.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God is with us, he loves us, and nothing is impossible for him.

Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
We are in a time of year when God often initiates transfers and transitions to move us to the next level. During the transitions God has given us His peace to help guide our decision making. We don't have to rely on our own peace, we can use God's. And his peace surpasses our understanding, and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
I think of His peace kind of like a bouncer sitting outside our hearts and minds. The bouncer keeps thoughts and beliefs out that aren't supposed to be in there. Peace will also go in and clean anything out that snuck its way in.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that we have God's peace.

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.
We are in a time of year for transfers and transitions. If things are shifting right now, then know that God is moving the pieces around to move you to the next level. The key is to keep your eyes up and fixed on him during the transitions.
It's during this time that God wants to do some miraculous transfers and transition you to the next level. God will often open doors for the next level during this time, and when those doors open make sure to follow your peace on the inside. Peace will help to guide your decision making. A peace that surpasses all understanding.
Here is our filter for this week... Transfers and Transitions
I am praying for you.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately we've been talking about James 3:17 which says, " But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."
Wisdom from above is first of all pure, it purifies our heart, motives, and desires.
And we talked about Revelation 21:21 which says, "The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass."
Purity creates clarity and transparency.
These verses reminded me of 1 Peter 1:6-7 which says, "In this you rejoice greatly, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ."
Going through the fire can purify our faith....

Yesterday we talked about James 3:17 which says, " But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."
Wisdom from above is first of all pure, it purifies our heart, motives, and desires.
While thinking about this I was reminded of Revelation 21:21 which talks about heaven and says, "The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass."
Purity creates clarity and transparency. The wisdom that comes from above is pure and creates clarity and transparency.
In today's communion we are asking God for wisdom that comes from above that purifies and creates clarity and transparency

Matthew 6:20-23 says, "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
And Luke 12:33-35 says, "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves with purses that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 35Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning.…"
Tradition says that we store everything up in heaven and we can't touch it until we die. But I think Jesus is trying to teach us to rely on God as our source that will also take care of us here and now. He wants us to know we have an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, and this treasure is in our...

Both James 3:17-18 and 2 Corinthians 9:10 talk about a harvest of righteousness.
James 3:17-18 - But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
2 Corinthians 9:10 - Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
In today's communion we are asking God to give us wisdom and understanding of what the harvest of righteousness means for us in Christ, and we are asking him to enlarge the harvest of our righteousness.

Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day I was working on some finishing touches for the new book, "Make Today a Masterpiece," and I forgot to record a yearly cycle update for this week. This time of October is a reminder that we have been released from darkness and transferred into the kingdom of Jesus. If you are going through some transfers or transitions during this season of the year, then rest assured it is God working behind the scenes to move you to the next level of what he's called you to. Sometimes it can be unsettling, but trust that he's working it all together for your good in his perfect timing.
Colossians 1:9-14 says, "And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;...
Here is today's communion meditation.
I have a new book coming out soon called Make Today a Masterpiece: How to Walk in the Fullness of the Day the Lord has Made.
Making Today a Masterpiece, isn't about us trying harder or increasing our effort. It's about taking a different approach where we learn how to rely and trust in God's grace, Spirit, power, righteousness, and all of the good things he put within us in Christ.
It's learning how to redig the ancient wells of living water he put within us and to see the living water flowing in our lives.
Ephesians 2:10 NLT says, " For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
Making today a masterpiece is about walking out the plan already God wrote for our lives. I know not everyone believes that God already has a plan for our day. But I believe we can walk out his plan for today by faith.
I believe he wrote a...
