Relax Into the Stretch

Uncategorized Dec 09, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle Update.

This is a time of year when God often transitions us to the next level. But moving to the next level can often feel like we are getting stretched. The stretch is expanding our capacity so that God can work more powerfully in our lives. When we are getting stretched it's important to learn how to relax into the stretch rather than fighting it.

Here is this week's filter(reminder) to write at the top of our journals each day... Relax Into the Stretch

I am praying for you.

This month we have asked God to help us lay out the path for our program the Abundant Life Blueprint with the milestones along the way. And an important part of our journey is celebrating the wins.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us consistently celebrate the wins in life the way he intended us to.

Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth

Uncategorized Dec 08, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

2 Timothy 2:15 says...

NKJV  Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

ESV -  Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Part of our walk with God is learning to rightly divide or handle his word. Something I have learned about God's word is that we can learn great truth's by taking the reciprocal of a verse. As an example, 1 Corinthians 11 says that many people were weak, sick, and had fallen asleep because they didn't examine or judge themselves before taking communion. The reciprocal of this would be that many people were strong, healthy, and lived long lives because they examined and judged themselves before taking communion.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us present ourselves approved to God and to rightly divide and handle t...

Walking in the Truth

Uncategorized Dec 07, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

In the books of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John the phrases walking in the light or walking in the truth are often used. 2 John 4 says, "I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father."

I view the phrases walking in the light, walking in the truth, or walking in love as the same.

Lately we have been examining ourselves to see if we are walking in the light, but this could also be phrased walking in the truth.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how to walk in the truth, and to help us walk in it consistently at increasing levels.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

Let's do a little checkup in our fitness today. Have we been consistent? Are we showing each day with presence and bringing our best or have we been inconsistent or just going through the motions.

I am praying for you.

Growing in Grace and Knowledge

Uncategorized Dec 06, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

1 Peter 3:18 says "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

Recently we have been talking about examining ourselves before taking communion and taking some time to celebrate the moments we have been walking in the light while also taking note of the times when we lost our position in the light.

Something I have learned is that when our buttons get pushed and we lose our position in the light if we will bring those areas to God and make the adjustment, it will lead to knowing Jesus and his grace that much more.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us grow consistently in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

Let's take a moment to examine our progress in our health and fitness for the year. In what ways did we do well? In what ways did some buttons get pushed that tried to derail us? Let's bring these areas to God and cele...

Milestones

Uncategorized Dec 05, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

On our journey with God there are milestones along the way. These milestones help us navigate, provide encouragement, and can be valuable for future generations. This month we have asked God to help us create a clear path for our program the Abundant Life Blueprint, and part of the path is the milestones. While thinking about this I have also been putting the finishing touches on our workbook/journal for 2023, and I think part of our yearly cycle checkpoints should be based around these milestones.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the role that milestones play in our journey. And we are asking him to help us create a system for milestones that is coordinated with His yearly cycle.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

One our health and fitness journey there are also milestones. For example, there are certain levels of exercises that are milestones along the path to becoming fit.

Examining Yourself

Uncategorized Dec 04, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

1 Corinthians 11:27-32 says, "So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. 31 But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment. 32 Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world."

Lately we have been developing a workbook/journal for our program, and the other day our partners suggested a way to examine ourselves should be a part of the workbook. And I agree, especially since we are taking communion of...

30 Pieces of Silver

Uncategorized Dec 03, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

Zechariah 11:12-13 says, "Then I told them, “If it seems right to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” So they weighed out my wages, thirty pieces of silver. 13 And the LORD said to me, “Throw it to the potter”— this magnificent price at which they valued me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the LORD."

Jesus was valued at only 30 pieces of silver. He was undervalued by his people, but God paid a huge price for us, and I think we wants us to see our value and not undervalue ourselves.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that Jesus was undervalued so that we can be fully valued. And we are asking God to help us understand this and walk in our true value consistently.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

One of the ways we can value ourselves is to invest into our health. Investing time, energy, and focus into our health is a way to value and honor our bodies.

Why Change?

Uncategorized Dec 02, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle Update.

This is a time of year when some doors close and new doors open. What often seems like the end of something is really just a new beginning. As these shifts and transitions take place, we must watch our habits. We’ll be tempted to fall back into old patterns and habits. A good example of this in the Bible is Peter. After the death and resurrection of Jesus, Peter goes back to his old way of life and starts fishing again.

In times of change, there will be the temptation to return to old ways. God wants to make all things new, including our daily habits and patterns. If shifts are occurring, the key to successfully making these shifts is being willing to embrace a new way of life and making changes in our daily habits and routines. One of the reasons God built change into the world is to keep pushing us forward to a higher level. Why? Because he loves us too much to allow us to stay the way we are.

Blessed

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

The other day I read the Beatitudes in the Amplified Version and it really blessed me to see all of the different definitions of 'Blessed," that are used in this scripture. Today's communion is a time of gratitude for God's blessing in Christ, and we are asking him to help us walk in the fullness of his blessing.

Here is the passage from Matthew 5:3-12(AMP)

3 “Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].

4 “Blessed [forgiven, refreshed by God’s grace] are those who mourn [over their sins and repent], for they will be comforted [when the burden of sin is lifted].

5 “Blessed [inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the [gentle [the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled], for they will inherit the earth.

6 “Ble...
