Here is today's communion meditation.
2 Peter 1:10-11 says, Therefore, brothers, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you practice these things you will never stumble, 11and you will receive a lavish reception into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.…
This verse comes after we are told to add to our faith things like goodness, knowledge, perseverance, love, self-control, and godliness.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us confirm our calling and election so that we never stumble.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Remember in your fitness there will be high days and low days. On the low days make sure to keep showing up and do what you can do, because it is often after the low days that we reach new bests.
I am praying for you.

Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day I was reminded of the gift of God's precious promises to us. 2 Peter 1:3-4 says, "His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires."
God has given us His precious promises, but we must believe, receive, and trust in them. Think about Mary, the mother of Jesus. All she had was an angel giving her a promise from God. She didn't have any other proof, but she chose to believe what God had promised. In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how valuable his promises are and to help us receive and walk in them.

The other day I was reading Psalm 128 and was amazed at some of the promises, especially for our families. In today's communion we are asking God to help us receive these amazing promises.
1 Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.
2 You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.
4 Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord.
5 May the Lord bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
6 May you live to see your children’s children— peace be on Israel.

As we look to the year of 2023, many people will make resolutions about their health and fitness, but then they will fall off after only a few weeks....
Here is today's communion meditation.
Every year during the week between Christmas and New Year's Day I like to take a little time to reflect on the year and create my Miracle Year Plan for the next year. For the upcoming year in 2023 I am excited because we have a new workbook/journal planner to put our plans in. For about a decade I have been seeking God for what I call a "Success Indicator," which is a tool we can use to track our progress and make adjustments as needed.
The new "Recording Your Journey," workbook/journal is what has emerged as our "Success Indicator," for the Abundant Life Blueprint, and the subtitle of the workbook is "Making Your Next Chapter Your Best Chapter."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us make our Miracle Year Plans for 2023 and for him to help us make our next chapter our best chapter.

Merry Christmas!
Here is today's communion meditation.
As we celebrate Christmas today let's remember Acts 20:32-35, “Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. 33 I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing. 34 You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. 35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the Christmas season, and we are asking God to help us understand how it is more blessed to give than to receive and to walk in this consistently

Here is today's communion meditation.
This is a season for gifts, and it's a reminder of God's good gifts he has for us. He has looked ahead into our lives and made provision for the things we need and desire. Once we had a friend who stayed with us for period of time, and we didn't want this friend to leave. This person would help us take care of our kids, help us pick up the groceries, and do all kinds of thoughtful things.
For example, one day we came home and there was a new tea kettle on the stove. Our friend had seen my wife drinking tea and noticed we didn't have a tea kettle, so she bought one without saying anything. I think it's the ability to be present and pay attention that leads to becoming great at giving gifts.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for all of God's gifts and we are asking him to help us become great gift givers ourselves.

Merry Christmas!
Here is this week's Yearly Cycle Update.
As Christmas approaches this time of year is a reminder to celebrate the light that came into the world. This is a time of the year when we can celebrate that we get to walk in the light with God every day as he is in the light.
Don't be surprised if God brings light to your situation and begins to illuminate your path to a new level over the next week.
Here is this week's filter(reminder) to write at the top of our journals each day... Celebrate Light
I am praying for you.
Daniel
Here is today's communion meditation.
We are in the middle of Hanukkah and it's almost Christmas, which are both reminders of light shining in the darkness. God's light is in us, and light is energy. His energy is available to work within us.
The apostle Paul said in Colossians 1:28-29, We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. 29 To this end I also labor, striving with all His energy working powerfully within me.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how to rely on His energy within us, rather than our own, and to get it powerfully working within us.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Our workouts are a great time to practice relying on God's energy working within us. We do this by resting in our soul, taking the pressure off of ourselves, and becoming more present.
I am praying for you.

Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day we did the communion meditation on how Mary Magdalene did a beautiful thing for Jesus when she broke the expensive jar of perfume for Jesus. We also talked about how Mary Magdalene was the first-person Jesus appeared to when he rose from the dead and how she loved much because she was forgiven much.
While thinking about this I was reminded of how important it is to forgive ourselves, because we often forget to. We tend to beat ourselves up and not give ourselves grace. Forgiving ourselves can be the missing link that allows God's love and grace to flow through us to others and it takes so much pressure off of us.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the importance of forgiving ourselves and to walk in this consistently

In Luke 7:37-47 it says...
A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. 38 As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.
39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I...
