Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Yesterday I had something interesting happen. As I was driving, I pulled up to a stop light and the car in front of me had a license plate that said, "Hebrews 11:6." At the moment I pulled up behind the other car I was listening to a Bible teaching and the teacher had just started teaching on Hebrews 11:6.
So when I got home I looked up the scripture. Here is what it says,
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
God is a rewarded, it is part of who he is. In the original Greek of this verse the word, "rewarder," can also be translated as, "one who pays wages." This fits with what God told Abraham in the Old Testament when he said, "I am your shield and great reward." In the Hebrew this can also be translated as reward or wages.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Today is the 6th day of Hanukkah, which is also called the Festival of Lights or Feast of Dedication. This is a time to firm up our dedication to God's plan and to gain clarity/light on the next steps for His plan.
John 1:4-5 talks about Jesus and it says, "In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
I think we could also translate this as, "In him was life(God), and (God)life was the light of all mankind. 5 The (God)light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God was in Jesus, and he is also in us because of Jesus, and he can shine through us.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Today is the 5th day of Hanukkah, which is also called the Festival of Lights or Feast of Dedication. This is a time to firm up our dedication to God's plan and to gain clarity/light on the next steps for His plan.
Yesterday, we talked about how gratitude for God's promises is the shortcut to walking in the light.
And this reminded me of Ephesians 5:13. Down below are two different versions of the verse.
"But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light". - NIV
"But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light." NKJV
Light makes all things visible, and one of the things is makes visible are the promises and things we have been been praying or.
We can manifest God's promises by walking in the light... And gratitude is the shortcut.
In today's communion we are asking God...

Today is the 4th day of Hanukkah, which is also called the Festival of Lights or Feast of Dedication. This is a time to firm up our dedication to God's plan and to gain clarity/light on the next steps for His plan.
Colossians 1:12 says, "And giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light."
We get to walk in the kingdom of light, and gratitude is the shortcut into the light. Sometimes we get off track and start focusing on the problems of life, but gratitude offers for God's promises offers us a shortcut back into the light.
In today's communion let the breaking of the bread be symbolic of breaking any patterns of complaining, venting, etc. And let the taking of the cup be symbolic of walking in higher and higher levels of joyful gratitude from this point on.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Today is the 3rd day of Hanukkah, which is also called the Festival of Lights or Feast of Dedication. This is a time to firm up our dedication to God's plan and to gain clarity/light on the next steps for His plan.
In Matthew 6:22 Jesus said, "The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is single, your whole body will be full of light."
If our eye is single, with our focus on God and his promises then our whole body will be full of light. This reminds me of Peter walking on the water... He was actually walking on water until he started looking at the storm.
I think one of the ways we can keep our eye single is to stay positioned in gratitude consistently.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us keep our eye single and focused on him so that our whole body is full of light.

Today is the 2nd day of Hanukkah, which is also called the Festival of Lights or Feast of Dedication. This is a time to firm up our dedication to God's plan and to gain clarity/light on the next steps for His plan.
Colossians 1:1 MSG says, " I Paul, have been sent on special assignment by Christ as part of God’s master plan."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us gain clarity on our special assignment that is part of His master plan.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Last night was the first night of Hanukkah and my daughter Reina reminded me that when lighting the candles for Hannukah there is a candle called the helper candle. This is the candle that is used to light all the other candles.
This reminded me of a couple of scriptures.
Proverbs 20:27 says, "The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly."
John 14:26 says, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you."
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about the helper candle and about how the Holy Spirit is our helper.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Romans 4:19 says, " Abraham did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah’s womb."
Some versions of this say he didn't even consider his own body. This means he was focused on God and His promise, not on the circumstances or problem.
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about this scripture and help us to focus on him and his promises the way he desires.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Hebrews 1:9 and Psalm 45:7 both say that "You(Jesus) have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy."
And in Isaiah 61 it says we would be given the oil of joy for mourning or sorrow.
Think about this for a moment... Jesus was anointed with the oil of joy, and we are in him.
Therefore, we also have this oil of joy.
Years ago I discovered that every food has an electric charge, and out of all the foods, olive oil(which was the anointing oil) has the highest electric charge.
In today's communion let the breaking of the bread be symbolic of breaking any patterns of being sorrowful or low in energy, and let the cup be an activation of being anointed with the oil of joy.

Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Our message for December is, "God's Plan is the Best," and while thinking about this I came across 1 John 5:14 AMPC.
It says, "And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us."
God has a plan for each of us, and he's had it since before the foundation of the world. One of our aims in life is to get in agreement with his plan.
In today's communion let the breaking of the bread be symbolic of breaking any patterns of trying to do our own plan rather than God's. And let the taking of the cup be symbolic of activating walking in greater confidence in God's plan from this point on.
