Here is today's communion meditation.
This month our message is "Walking in God's Best Today."
1 Thessalonians 2:7-8 says, "But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children . Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well."
Notice the way that Paul walked among the people... He was gentle like a nursing mother who cherishes her children.
And he was delighted to share his life with them.
I believe this is part of walking in God's ways.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us walk with people in a gentle a cherishing way.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
In our health and fitness we must nourish and cherish our bodies gently, but this must be balanced with challenging and progressing consistently.
I am praying for you.

Galatians 5:16-18 says, "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law."
It's an interesting thing, that when we focus on walking by the Spirit or said another way walking with God, that the desires of the flesh seem to fade away. It's a matter of focus... If we focus on the Spirit the things of the Spirit grow, but if we focus on the flesh, the desires of the flesh grow.
We often try to discipline ourselves to develop better habits, but in many cases the answer is not stopping something. The answer is to start something else. Start walking by the Spirit and the desires of the flesh fade...

In Matthew 21:16 it says, "“Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?”
Jesus is quoting Psalm which says, "From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength Because of Your adversaries, To make the enemy and the revengeful cease.
This verse is translated in several different ways. For example, "established strength," is also translated as "ordained/perfected praise."
Recently we talked about how God told both Abraham and Solomon that if they would walk before him and be complete/whole/perfected that he would establish them.
And the word for praise in Matthew 21:16 comes from a word that also means, "story."
So it could read, out of the mouth of babes and infants You...

Psalm 8:2 says, "From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength Because of Your adversaries, To make the enemy and the revengeful cease.
This verse is translated in several different ways. For example, "established strength," is also translated as "ordained praise."
But something interesting I found is that the Hebrew word for silencing the enemy or getting him to cease uses a word that can mean cease, desist, or rest.
This month we have been talking about walking in God's ways, and Proverbs 16:7 says that whenever a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies be at peace with him.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand Psalm 8:2 and how to practically apply this verse to our lives so that God causes the enemy to cease and desist from anything he has been up to so that we have rest on every...

Amos 3:3 says, "Do two men walk together unless they have made an appointment?
This verse could also be translated as... Do walk in unity unless they are in agreement?
We have been talking about walking in step with God, but this means being synchronized with him and his timing.
Which means we need an appointment. Something simple we can do is set an appointment to go for walks with God. Life has a way of trying to throw all kinds of things at us to disrupt our appointments with God.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us have set times to walk with him.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
In our workouts I think we also need a non-negotiable appointment with ourself, because it can be easy to push this aside if it's not prioritized.
I am praying for you.

Psalm 1:1 says, "Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked."
And Galatians 5:25 says, "Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit."
Walking in step with God makes me think of rhythm or dance. We can walk in rhythm and harmony with him. Our life is like a beautiful song and when we walk in step with God, we walk in his beautiful timing, that we can't make happen on our own.
In todays communion we are asking God to help us walk in step with him.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
through the years of working with clients in the gym one of the biggest things I saw that derailed people was getting out of rhythm. Once you get into a good rhythm make sure to defend your rhythm and get back on track quickly if you fall out of rhythm.
I am praying for you.

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.
During this season of the year, God wants to prove to us that his timing is perfect. He will not be too early or late, but always right on time. In late June and early July, God wants to expand your vision—and his timing will be perfect. Make sure to stay tuned in by continuing to walk with him. This time of year has a lot to do with understanding his timing.
One day in this time period several years ago, my daughter was playing the piano, using an app that lights up in green when she played the correct note at the correct time. Playing the note early or late isn’t good. Imagine listening to your favorite song, but the timing of the beat is off. When we listen to music, it is obvious when someone plays the wrong note at the wrong time.
Our life is like a song. And God wants to help us play the right note at the right time. He will make sure that the timing is perfect,...

Isaiah 30:21 says, "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
God is faithful to show us the way to walk in, but we have a choice of whether to follow his way.
The other day we talked about how God can transform our life very quickly, and I think one of the keys is to walk in the way he shows us.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God shows us the way to walk in.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
If you are doing 10 reps of an exercise, think of it as 1 rep 10 times. This keeps you focused on the present rep and actually makes it easier to get to 10 reps.
I am praying for you.

Here is today's communion meditation.
If we thought about it, we could probably think of all kinds of ways we could destroy our life in one day. But, when we think of transforming our life for the good, we think of the process and steps that are needed rather than an instant transformation.
But, never forget that change can happen in a moment. God can change our life for the good in one moment.
1 Corinthians 15:51 says, "Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye."
This verse is talking about when Jesus returns, but it's also important to remember that God can make change happen in a moment.
This month we are talking about "Walking in God's Best Today," and don't forget that it can happen "today."
In today's communion we are asking God to walk in such a way that we him transform our lives rapidly.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Our message in June is... Walking in God's Best Today.
The other day we talked about the Call of Abraham and how God told Abraham "Go," which can be translated in Hebrew as go, walk, flow, follow, or continue.
And we get the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the faith of Abraham.
Genesis 17:1-2 says, "When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty. Walk before Me and be blameless. 2 I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly.
In 1 Kings 9:4-5 God told Solomon something very similar, "As for you, if you walk before me faithfully with integrity of heart and uprightness, as David your father did, and do all I command and observe my decrees and laws, I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever."
These verses say almost the same exact thing and they both came after Abraham and Solomon had been walking...
