Here is this week's Yearly Cycle Update.
This is a time of year when some doors close and new doors open. What often seems like the end of something is really just a new beginning. As these shifts and transitions take place, we must watch our habits. We’ll be tempted to fall back into old patterns and habits. A good example of this in the Bible is Peter. After the death and resurrection of Jesus, Peter goes back to his old way of life and starts fishing again.
In times of change, there will be the temptation to return to old ways. God wants to make all things new, including our daily habits and patterns. If shifts are occurring, the key to successfully making these shifts is being willing to embrace a new way of life and making changes in our daily habits and routines. One of the reasons God built change into the world is to keep pushing us forward to a higher level. Why? Because he loves us too much to...
Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day I read the Beatitudes in the Amplified Version and it really blessed me to see all of the different definitions of 'Blessed," that are used in this scripture. Today's communion is a time of gratitude for God's blessing in Christ, and we are asking him to help us walk in the fullness of his blessing.
Here is the passage from Matthew 5:3-12(AMP)
3 “Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].
4 “Blessed [forgiven, refreshed by God’s grace] are those who mourn [over their sins and repent], for they will be comforted [when the burden of sin is lifted].
5 “Blessed [inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the [gentle [the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the...
Here is December's Message
Over the last couple of months, we have been working on developing our calendar and workbook/journal for 2023, and we are getting close to having them ready. This month Romans 11:33 keeps coming to mind, which says, "Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!"
This month we are asking God to help us develop a system to clearly define the path in our program the Abundant Life Blueprint so that we help people keep making progress on God's path. Something I have learned in my walk with God is that he has a path, I think we all have our own path, but there are certain milestones that are common to all of us. The goal this month is to clearly define the milestones in our program and help build in accountability to help all of us stay progressing on God's path.
God's paths are also beyond tracing out, in that there is always another level. We...
Acts 4:32-33 says, "The multitude of believers was one in heart and soul. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they owned. 33 With great power the apostles continued to give their testimony about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all."
Not just grace was upon them...but great grace.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for God's grace, and we are asking him to help us have great grace upon us all.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Great grace can be upon us in our health and fitness as well so that there is an ease and beauty to what we do. These days health and fitness has become stressful and overly complicated and great grace can make health and fitness simple.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
Convergence is a word that describes when everything God has prepared and called you to do comes together into one simplistic and beautiful thing. Pastor Lance Wallnau has researched this topic and found that a very low number of people, including those in ministry, ever step into convergence.
After years and years of research, Wallnau found that the No. 1 factor that determined whether people stepped into convergence was whether they endured the contradiction. The contradiction of feeling like you are doing all the right things, but life is pressuring you to quit, and things are going the wrong direction. The contradiction of doing all the right things, but not seeing a breakthrough. When a contradiction occurs, what do you do? One of the biggest keys to fulfilling our purpose is enduring the contradiction until we hit convergence and things break through.
In today's communion we are asking God...
The other day we watched the new Lion King movie as a family. During the movie the hero Simba is supposed to be the king, but after his father's death he fled to another place where he has "no worries," and he is enjoying life.
But then he finds out that his uncle who stepped in as king, has destroyed the land and made life miserable. The hero is faced with a choice, he can keep living for himself or he can go back and save his kingdom. When he has a vision of his father telling him to "remember who he is," he develops the courage to go back.
In Hollywood they call this the Heroes Journey, and it is one of the biggest keys that makes us like stories and movies. During the heroes journey it is said that the hero is on 2 journeys. One journey is the external journey to the goal and the other journey is the internal journey of growth in the hero as he moves to the goal. He/she must become the person who can get to the goal. When the internal and external...
The other day we watched the new Lion King movie as a family. During the main turning point of the story the "hero," hears his father tell him "Remember who you are!" This statement gives him the courage to do what he knows he needs to do.
In a similar way for us to fulfill all God put us here to do it's important for us to remember who we are. We've talked a lot this year about remembering who God/Jesus is and communion is supposed to be something that helps us remember, but it can also be a time to remember who he made us to be. He made us to be his children, righteous, holy, anointed, overcomers, more than conquerors, and so much more.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for who God made us to be. And we are asking him to help us remember who we are.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
As we remember who we are let that remembrance carry over into our health and fitness. Our identity and who we see ourselves as plays a big role in...
We have all come to different conclusions in our heart about what is really true in life. These conclusions shape our perspective on life, and they have usually been developed through our experiences and things people have told us. The problem is that sometimes we can believe something is true that is really not true, and this leads to blind spots. Blind spots are areas where we can't really see the truth because we are filtering it out with the perspective we have on life, that is based on our beliefs. The symptoms of these blind spots can be a lack of results, self-sabotage, problems, and pain.
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about blind spots and to open our eyes to any blind spots we have so that his truth occupies every area of our heart.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
In health and fitness, I think these blind spots would look like having a constant struggle with health, self-sabotaging ourselves, falling...
This time of year is a reminder that God gives us free will or free choice. Every day we get to decide if we will be thankful or magnify the problems. We also get to decide how we will respond to things in life. The same thing can happen to two different people, and they can respond in totally different ways.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the power of how we respond and to help us respond consistently in the way that he says is right and best in both the ups and downs of life.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
With health and fitness, I have seen the power of how we respond. I have seen some people not lose as much weight as they hoped which caused them to get discouraged and quit, while others viewed it as a signal to make some adjustments. I have also seen people be really excited about their weight loss only to respond by celebrating and stopping what they were doing because they had lost weight, versus other...
Here is this week's Yearly Cycle Update.
We are in a time of the year when God likes to shift and reposition his people. He does this because he loves us. If he is shifting and repositioning us, he is trying to move us to a higher level, but it may be uncomfortable. This is a time where he may be stretching us so that we grow. He must put enough tension on us for enough time to create the change that he wants to see. He knows how to put just the right amount of stretch on us so that the results come and nothing tears.
In this season, we must be comfortable with being uncomfortable, because we know that he is leading us to a higher level. If an uncomfortable situation is happening right now, know that the discomfort is actually keeping you from pain down the road and is serving to move you closer to the desires of your heart, even if it seems like you are moving in the wrong direction.
The key to getting through this...
