Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray for all those watching, listening, or reading this and their families, all those connected them, and our church and governmental leaders.
Thank you for releasing us from darkness and transferring us into the light, into the kingdom of your dear son. Thank you for your purpose and grace given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
I ask that you the father of glory would give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation so we would know you better. That the eyes of our hearts would be enlightened to know the hope to which you have called us, and the riches of your glorious inheritance that is in us, and the immeasurable greatness of your power to us who believe. The same power that you exercised in Christ when you raised him from the dead, and seated him at your right hand in heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named. Not only in this age but also in the one to come. And...
Quick Summary
Job 36:16 says God is wooing you from the jaws of distress to a spacious place free from restriction to the comfort of your table laden with choice food. God is wooing you, which is enticing, stirring, moving, and persuading us to follow his plan for our lives. His plan leads to a place of free from all restrictions but he does not force us to follow him. God is love and love does not force or control people, love gives the choice.

Quick Summary
There is a phrase that is repeated over and over in the Old Testament which says, " During the Spring of the year, when kings go to war." The Spring season was the time when God's people got attacked. In the case of David, it was also the time when he would attack and God give him victory after victory. God has promised to be a shield to those who trust in him. When we learn to trust in him he becomes a shield that protects us and blinds the enemy.

In Genesis 15:1 God tells Abraham, " Don't be afraid Abram, I am your shield and your very great reward. Prior to this Abraham rescues Lot and the king of Sodom offers Abraham all of the goods and plunder in exchange for the people. But Abraham values the people and says that he will not take anything from the king, so that nobody can say they made Abraham rich. In Abraham's life he did become very wealthy, and it was God who made him rich.
Then God tells Abraham that he is his shield and reward. The word for reward is the Hebrew word sakar. It is where we get our word for secure. God will be his security. The Hebrew word sakar is most often translated as wages, pay, compensation, hire, or in your service. It means to hire someone. God is telling Abraham that he himself will be with Abraham and working for his good. God with him was his wages. God is more valuable than gold or silver. If God is with you nothing is impossible, and he is in your service...
Communion Meditation
When we take communion we are proclaiming the death of Jesus and we should take it with reverence and holy awe. The death of Jesus was the transition point for all time, when we moved to the New Covenant of grace. We are supposed to believe we receive the moment we pray. When we take this communion think of a line in the sand and what you are believing God for. From the moment we receive communion we have stepped over the line and we are going forward in faith from this point on.
When we take communion we are supposed to examine ourselves. Here are some questions to ask yourself? If you find an area that you need to make some adjustments, receive your forgiveness if needed, and start moving forward.

The Spring season is a reminder of the treasure God planted in us. It is also a reminder that the real treasure in heaven is people.
Prayer Challenge Prayer
I pray for all those reading, watching, or listening to this and their families, friends, and those connected to them. I also pray for all of our church and governmental leaders.
Thank you for releasing us from the darkness and transferring us into the light, into the kingdom of your dear son. Thank you for your purpose and grace given to us in Christ Jesus before time began. Thank you that Jesus was smitten by you and it pleased you to crush him so that we could have life, abundant life, a life that is one with you.
I ask that you the father of glory would give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we would know you better and that the eyes of our hearts would be enlightened to know the hope to which you have called us and the riches of your glorious inheritance, the treasure,...
One of the concepts that is important for walking out our purpose or charge in life is the fear of the Lord vs the fear of man. The fear of the Lord is reverence, honor, respect, and awe for him. When we choose to honor God he honors us but sometimes we can get snared or entangled in life because pleasing people becomes a higher priority than pleasing God.
Communion Meditation
The spring season is a reminder of a fresh start. Speaking of a fresh start, taking communion is an opportunity to turn the tables and have a fresh start. Take a moment to evaluate all of the areas of your life...Spiritually, mentally, emotionally, purpose, health, family(think through each of your relationships), finances, order, time, and community. Are there any areas that are going in the wrong direction?
The big question is which direction are you heading? If you are going the right direction it is only a matter of time before your results begin to compound and accelerate. Any...
We just finished Easter, which is a reminder of the resurrection. In the Spring everything is green and growing, which is a reminder that we are supposed to be constantly charged up, full of life, and growing. We are to always be ready in season and out of season. One of the ways to do this is found in Jude, which says to build yourself up on your most Holy faith by praying in the spirit. Praying in the spirit is similar to charging up your internal batteries, it keeps you charged up. We can also stay charged up consistently by leaving margin in everything we do, which requires humility. Take a humble approach and build more margin into your life.
During the resurrection of Jesus the stone was rolled away. One Easter, I was in church and the theme was the rock that rolled away. In the book of Joshua when the people cross over into the promised land and were circumcised God then told them that he had rolled away the reproach of Egypt from them. Reproach is...
In the Spring, Easter is a reminder of renewal and making things new. It is also a reminder of the treasure God put within us. When Jesus rose from the dead God planted his spirit in our hearts as a seed and that seed contains treasure. It has everything we need for life and godliness, including directions on our purpose, or charge in life. In 1 Chronicles 22 King David charged Solomon with building God's temple. In Hebrew the word "charge," is tsavah, which means something similar to a guidance system like a GPS to guide us into the treasure of God's plan and purpose for our lives. One of the phrases I came across when researching the Hebrew was " a treasure map to the heart of God."
God planted his seed in our hearts, and it contains treasure. God has called us to a holy calling and has given us purpose and grace in Christ Jesus before time ever began. Through Jesus, God has given us access to everything God has... His wisdom, understanding, power, love,...
