Here is today's communion meditation.
Both James 4 and Proverbs 27 tell us not to boast about all the things we are going to do. It says that all such boasting is actually evil.
Jeremiah 9:24 says, "but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight."
In today's communion let's examine ourselves to see if we've been doing any boasting about ourselves or if our boasting has been about the Lord. And we are asking God to help only boast in him moving forward.

When it comes to workouts, boast that you have God with you when you work out. Our confidence is to be in him.

Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day I came across Romans 8:28 TPT which says, "We are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good."
Lately I have been thinking about the word, "hope." The Amplified Bible describes hope as "the confident expectation of good."
In Hebrew one of the words for hope is "tiqvah," which is also translated as a "cord." Think of a cord as a collection of fabrics woven together.
We can have hope(confident expectation) that God is weaving every detail of lives together for good. This confidence is not in ourselves, but in God, who never changes.
In today's communion let's take a moment to examine whether we are approaching our day with confident expectation for good, or are we walking in fear, dread, and uncertainty. Then we are going to activate this promise so that we start walking in confident expectation that God is working every detail together for our good.

We are in the 40 days of Teshuva, which means turn or repent, and it's time to examine ourselves and change our ways. And recently I was feeling the nudge to ramp up my Bible reading. For many years, my pattern was to read a Proverb, a Psalm, and 10 pages of reading the Bible like a book every day. Lately my Bible reading had fallen back to about 4-6 pages per day instead of 10, and I felt like God was nudging me to increase it to 10 pages per day again.
After only a couple of days of this it's hard to describe the difference it made, but it does make a huge difference. I could tell a difference in my body almost immediately, and I began to get flooded with new insights and revelation.
Proverbs 4:21-22 says, "My son, pay attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21Do not lose sight of them; keep them within your heart. 22For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh."
And Proverbs ...

Have you ever felt like you were stuck in the rut of the daily grind? Like it's just another day you are trying to get through?
Something I feel like God has been teaching me lately is the power of confident expectation in God to break us free from the ruts, and truly make today a masterpiece, because this is the Day the Lord has made, and we are supposed to be glad and rejoice in it.
Isaiah 30:18 AMPC says, "Therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you…. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him."
Rather that today being just another day, let's set our expectation on God eagerly desiring to be gracious and do good for us today.

We are in the 40 Days of Teshuva
( Teshuva = turn or repent).
These are the 40 days leading up to the Day of Atonement, which in the Jewish culture was the holiest day of the year, because it was the one day of the year when the High Priest could enter the holy of holies to make atonement for the sins of the people.
Part of Teshuva is examining ourselves and making adjustments.
Ephesians 2:1-2 says, "And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience."
And Romans 12:2 says, " Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us identify any areas where we are conforming to the ways of the world or the prince of the power of the air, and to help us turn those a...

Recently we started the 40 Days of Teshuva( Teshuva = turn or repent), which are the 40 days that lead up to the Day of Atonement. Part of Teshuva is examining ourselves and making adjustments. And one of the most important areas to examine is if we are walking in love.
1John 4:11 says, " Delightfully loved ones, if he loved us with such tremendous love, then “loving one another” should be our way of life!"
In today's communion we are asking God to reveal to us any areas where we are not loving well, and to help us turn it around, so that loving one another is our way of life.

Part of Teshuva is taking action consistently. Which reminds me of Luke 12:35-36
“Be dressed and ready for active service, and keep your lamps continuously burning. Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that when he comes and knocks they may immediately open the door for him."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us be dressed and ready for active service with our lamps continually burning like he intended us to be.

And as soon as the priests who carry the ark of the Lord—the Lord of all the earth—set foot in the Jordan, its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand up in a heap.”
Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, 16 the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while...

In today's communion we are asking God to help us be ordered and firm in our faith in Christ.

For many of us, when we first believed, there was a level of excitement and energy about our relationship with God, and in all relationships there is a tendency for things to fade. But, we should remember to maintain the excitement and energy we had at first.
In today's communion we are asking God to show us any ways where we are not doing the things we did at first.
