Here is today's communion meditation.
Today we celebrate Purim, which is a reminder that in Christ, God has given us mastery over our enemies. Esther 9:1 says, "On the very day when the enemies of the Jews hoped to gain the mastery over them, the reverse occurred (the tables were turned): the Jews gained mastery over those who hated them."
And Colossians 2:13-15 says, "When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how in Christ he has turned the tables and given us mastery over our enemies(not people, spiritual forces of evil).

Here is today's communion meditation.
A few times in the last couple of days I have randomly come across Ephesians 2:10 which says, "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
This is pretty amazing to think about... that we are God's masterpiece. He is the master of all masters and we are His masterpiece.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand that we are His masterpiece and what this means for us. And we are asking him to help us convert this understanding into practical application in our lives.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
As you execute your workouts... remember that you are His masterpiece.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Over the last couple of weeks, we have talked about having One Great Day and the importance of emotions. Part of the gift of emotions is that we can stir ourselves up. A key to having a great day is to stir ourselves up in the beginning of the day. One of the best ways to do this is by filling up the basket of praise first thing in the morning.
Filling up the basket of praise by praising God for who he is, what he has done for us in Christ, and what he has done for us personally can help us stir ourselves up and start the day in a great way.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the importance of stirring ourselves up and how to execute this consistently.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Make sure to stir yourself up in your workouts. It's easy to bring low energy into our workouts, but by stirring ourselves up before a workout it helps us bring our best.

Yesterday we discussed the concept of magnifying that God is with us. And it reminded me of when I was a kid, and my dad would burn my name onto my baseball glove with a magnifying glass.
This brought Numbers 6:22-27 to mind, which says that after the priests would bless the people God's name would be on them.
Here is the passage:
The Lord said to Moses, 23 “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
24 “‘“The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’
27 “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand why God wanted the priests to bless the people with these specific words and how his name will be upon us.

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.
Purim is coming up on March 6-7. The tradition is to fast during the daylight hours on 3/6/23 and then feast in the evening/the next day. This symbolizes how quickly God can take us from fasting to feasting. Purim comes from the story of Esther when a law was written that was going to destroy God's people. Esther approached the king and requested that he write a new law that would override the old law. The new law turned the tables and gave God's people mastery over their enemies.
This is symbolic for us of the Old Covenant and New Covenant. Jesus did not come to do away with the Old Covenant. He brought in the New Covenant which overrides the old and gives us mastery.
Here is our filter for this week... Purim.
I am praying for you.

Earlier this week on our partner's zoom we discussed the concept of a magnifying glass and how by focusing light through the glass it can start a fire. And we discussed the importance of focusing our imagination on God.
I think an important thing to magnify is that God is with us. In Genesis 28 in the account of Jacob's ladder, God tells Jacob that he is with him, will protect him, and will not leave him until he has done what he has promised. And when God is with us, he is more than enough.
A good practice for us to develop is magnifying God all throughout the day by remembering and imagining that he is with us.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the importance of magnifying that he is with us and to help us remember to do this consistently.

In your workouts remember that he is with you. This is a great time to practice.

This month our message is... Turn it around and the best will be found.
An important thing to turn around is our imagination. The imagination is what I call the table turner for the soul because it has the ability to reprogram our heart and transform our mind and emotions. The imagination is a very powerful gift God has given us, and it's very important for us to pay attention to the images we are playing on the inside and turn them around quickly if they are off track.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the gift he has given us in our imagination. And we are asking him to help us use our imagination the way he intended and to turn it around quickly if it's every off track.

Here is the Message for March.
Our message for the year of 2023 is "God Saved the Best Until Now," and our message for March is... Turn It Around and the Best Will Be Found
A big day in March is Purim, which is March 6-7 this year. Purim is a picture of the tables being turned. A law was written that was going to destroy God's people, but Queen Esther approached the king about writing a new law that would override the old law. Jesus did the same for us. He said that he did not come to abolish or do away with the Old Covenant, but he brought in a New Covenant that sits above and overrides the Old.
The picture of Purim is turning what was a major problem into an opportunity. The way they remember this is by fasting during the daylight hours on 3/6/23 this year and then feasting in the evening. This symbolizes how quickly God can take us from fasting to feasting. And part of the way this happened was that the King told Esther to write what she wanted. In a...
Here is today's communion meditation.
It seems like during February and March God always reminds me of emotions. I always like to think of emotions like powder in the bottom of a glass. They can be stirred up into our system. Emotions are not good or bad, they are neutral and feedback to help us make adjustments and corrections. But for us to truly make adjustments we need to process and clear the emotions out of our system.
We can clear emotions out of our system by talking through things, writing in a journal, or even exercise. Then once we clear the emotions out of the system we can examine and process why we are feeling the way we are so that we can adjust.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the gift he has given us in our emotions and to learn to clear and process them the way he intended.

This year our message is... God Saved the Best Until Now.
Psalm 31:19 says, "How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you."
God has some amazing things stored up for us and the Heavens are the storehouse of his bounty. When Jesus turned water into wine, they said he saved the best until now... but before he turned the water into wine, he told his mother Mary that it wasn't his time yet. But Mary put a demand on his supply, and it released some of the good that was stored up.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the good things that he has stored up for us and to help us access and receive them.
